The bag Mancro is known for: a padded sleeve that stops at 15.6 inches, three dials on the main zip, and a charging port that waits for your own power bank.

02What decides it
The bags the brand is known for: a padded laptop compartment, a combination lock on the main zip and a charging port on the strap side.
Start with the machine. Every backpack here is cut around a 15.6-inch laptop, and that number is the outside of the sleeve rather than a hopeful minimum: a sixteen-inch screen in a hard case will not go in, and a thirteen-inch machine will slide about unless you use the velcro strap. The sleeve has its own zip on the back panel, so at a security line the laptop comes out on its own and the rest of the bag stays packed.
Then decide what you want the lock to do. On the anti-theft pack the three dials sit on the pull of the main compartment and leave the factory on 0-0-0; changed once at the kitchen table, they buy you the twenty seconds a stranger in a cafe will not spend. They do not stop a knife, and they do not help at all if the bag is out of sight. The college pack for women skips the lock, takes a lighter shell and puts the weight on the front pockets instead, which is the trade you make for four dollars.

03Asked in this collection
What people ask us about laptop and travel backpacks before they choose a size.
Yes, and 15.6 inches is where the sleeve stops. Measure the machine as you carry it: a 15.6-inch laptop inside a hard case is usually wider than 15.6 inches, and the sleeve does not stretch. A 17-inch machine needs a different bag than anything on this shelf.
The laptop compartment opens on its own zip against the back panel, so the machine comes out on its own and the rest of the bag stays as it is. It is not a lay-flat checkpoint-friendly design, so the machine still goes in a tray. What you save is unpacking the rest of the bag around it.
No. The anti-theft pack carries the three dials on the main zip; the college pack for women does not, and costs about six dollars less for that reason among others. Each card on this shelf says which parts a piece carries.
